The Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED is the latest addition to Fujifilm’s Acuity portfolio
The company launched the new Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED which is the newest addition to the Fujifilm Acuity Ultra fleet. What makes this kit different is its ability to print to both rigid and flexible substrates.
Commercially available from autumn this year, the kit was unveiled on the first day of the exhibition on Stand 2.2-C30.
The 3.3m printer is part of Fujifilm’s ‘Blueprint’ concept and is capable of printing at speeds of up to 218sq m with a print resolution of up to 1200 x 1200dpi.
Designed with the operator in mind, the Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED features a dimpled table surface to support all media types and a robust catch mechanism helps to prevent any damage.
Also launching at FESPA 2022 is the Acuity Prime L UV flatbed printer. Expanding on the technologies of the standard Acuity Prime fleet, the Acuity Prime L is the next in line from the Prime 20 and 30 which were revealed last year.
The new Acuity Prime L has a maximum print area of 3,200mm x 3,200mm and a print speed of 202sq m/hr. The machine also features six vacuum zones and 16 media location pins, and the ability to print side by side jobs with a dual zone function.
The Acuity Prime series, when we launched it last year, represented both a ‘next step’ and a new start for Fujifilm”
Anda Baboi, marketing manager of Fujifilm Wide-Format Inkjet Systems, says: “The Acuity Prime series, when we launched it last year, represented both a ‘next step’ and a new start for Fujifilm.
“We’re delighted to be adding to the versatility of the range with the Prime L and FESPA is the perfect place to showcase what it can do.”
Another new addition to Fujifilm’s offering is its brand new ink range, Uvijet UH. Designed especially for the new machine, six colours are available as standard (CMYK, Lm, Lc) as well as white ink as an optional extra.
Kevin Jenner, European marketing manager for Fujifilm Wide-Format Inkjet Systems, explains: “Our ‘new blueprint for wide-format’, announced last year is our answer to industry demand for greater flexibility, ease-of-use and better ROI.
“Our all-new Fujifilm Acuity range, built to that new blueprint concept, has been designed to offer exceptional performance and unbeatable value, and the Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED is the latest evidence of Fujifilm’s commitment to the continued development of this range to meet changing market needs.”
